I am a sophomore at Calvin College, studying Elementary Education and Integrated Science. Developing relationships with students and helping them in their development as a person is a love of mine. Nothing brings me more joy and satisfaction than building a healthy community with the students and their families. 

Currently, I am a student intern at West Side Elementary, where I have been spending my mornings in a fifth grade class. I created a unit on the branches of the government. Specifically, the unit walks through the process of how the Constitution was created and divided government into unique branches. In the unit, the students journey through major events in the Civil Rights Movement to build connections on how the government acts in real-life situations.
